NEW NIGER IS LIGHTING UP: Power For The People, Progress For Every Community - Honourable Suleiman Umar

Under the leadership of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago, the New Niger Agenda is working to improve lives across Niger State. Through the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, led by Hon. Suleiman Umar, major power and renewable energy projects are already on ground across the state and shall be completed and handed over to our communities very soon.

These projects are moving forward quickly through the REA and in partnership with IsDB, ECOWAS, World Bank and other development partners. Niger State has paid its counter-funding, which is why delivery is faster and work is ongoing to the highest standard for the benefit of all Nigerlites.

Projects that are on ground shall be completed to bring light to our hospitals, power to our farms, energy to our businesses, and a better future for our children. Farmer Governor Bago promised to make Niger State the hub for renewable energy in Nigeria, and with every project on ground today, that promise is being kept.

To all our dear Nigerlites, we appeal for your patience and continued support for the government of Farmer Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago. Together, with unity, trust, and hard work, we shall build a New Niger that stands tall with pride, a state known for progress, peace, and prosperity, and truly one of the great states in Nigeria.

The lights are coming on. The future is here.
